JAMES E. KEENAN
President
Mr. James
E. Keenan founded Brentwood International (BI) in 1981 and he has
served as President since the firm’s inception. Mr. Keenan has
over 25 years of diversified business experience as both a human
resources executive and as an independent business consultant.
He has developed and managed executive, professional and
diversity recruiting programs for several Fortune 500
corporations.
Prior to founding Brentwood International, Mr. Keenan served for
two years as Vice President and Partner, Technology Practice with
Korn Ferry International. His personal executive placement
record was the highest in the firm. Previously, Mr. Keenan served
concurrently as Vice President, Citigroup, and Director, Human
Resources for Transaction Technology, Inc. (TTI), a wholly owned
high technology, Citigroup subsidiary.
Mr. Keenan also held the position of Industrial Relations
Director, Arnold/Orowheat Company, a nation-wide consumer products
company. Additionally he served as a Senior Member
of the Technical Staff for the Systems Development Corporation, a
high technology multi-national corporation engaged in developing national security
initiatives and systems .
Mr. Keenan has conducted executive search assignments and
consulted to numerous higher education, consumer products, high
technology and financial services organizations. Representative
clients have include: Rochester Institute of Technology,
Pepperdine University, Citicorp, Kodak, Boeing Corporation,
Security Pacific Automation, Disney Consumer Products, Universal
Studios, Norwest Technical Services, Rainier Bank, TRW, Bergen
Brunswig, Hughes Data Systems, HITC, Ortel Communications
Corporation, Aaron Bros., ITW, Litton Industries, Raytheon,
General Dynamics, Hughes Aircraft Company, Aerospace

Mr. Keenan graduated with honors from California University,
Northridge where he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business
Administration with a minor in Mechanical Engineering. He has
completed graduate work at both USC and UCLA in Computer Science.
Mr. Keenan also serves as frequent lecturer for Pepperdine
University's Graduate School of Business and Executive Management
Program..
