EXECUTIVE SEARCH PROCESS

Typically, we adhere to the following sequence:

During our initial interviews with corporate executives we develop a detailed position specification that includes, general and specific responsibilities, title, compensation, reporting relationships, education and professional experience required to fully satisfy the position requirements. In addition, we secure information regarding organizational structure, objectives, competition, history, relationships and personalities. The written specification and supplemental organizational information serve as a means of validating our discussions and identifying companies, associates and organizations that will be target during the search.

When the specification is approved, we initiate preliminary research to identify people with backgrounds that match the specification. It is our practice to research companies in the industry, and use a direct approach recruiting professionals who satisfy the position requirements and have proven records of success and accomplishment. The process is designed to yield several qualified candidates for the position.

We thoroughly interview and screen all candidates by telephone to evaluate their credentials against the specification and also to obtain a realistic understating of their accomplishments, capabilities and potential. During the telephone interview we also assess the candidate’s personal characteristics, strengths and weaknesses. It our practice to keep our client advised on a bi-weekly basis regarding our findings and progress.

After completing the telephone screening and candidate souring process, we conduct a forma, comprehensive progress review with the client. At this meeting we present and review in detail the companies and individuals contacted during the initial research and telephone phases of the assignment. We also present and review the backgrounds of several candidates who have passed the preliminary interviewing phases of the search. Following this meeting, we conduct formal face-to- face in depth interviews wit those candidates considered most appropriate for the position.

When we have completed the formal interviewing phase of the search, we present the most qualified individuals for consideration. We conduct extensive reference to validate candidate qualifications. During the reference process, it is our practice to speak directly with the individuals who are, or have been, in positions to evaluate the candidate’s performance on the job. In addition, we verify other information such as university degrees and moral character. These references and evaluations are combined to provide frank, objective appraisals of the candidate.

The final candidate selection and the offer of employment are always made by the client. We are prepared to assist, as required, in establishing the terms of employment.
